Small Cedar Lined Storage Box with Carved Inlaid Top

Solid black walnut laminated to western cedar makes for a delightful storage box for any keepsakes you wish to store.

The top is carved with an intricate sun pattern and inlaid with white pearl resin. The body of the box is 1/4" solid black walnut laminated to 1/4" western cedar, with a cedar bottom and divider. Mitered joints are pinned into place with solid oak dowels to bring a little more color to the piece. A vintage style hasp lock and exposed hinge compliment the warm swirling grain that walnut is so prized for. 

The interior is left unsealed to allow the wonderful fragrance of the cedar to drift out when opening. In addition the cedar is a natural bug deterrent and helps control humidity to protect your valuables inside. The exterior is buffed to a lustrous shine then sealed with several coats of tung oil and beeswax.
